Sandwich Ingredients
- 8 large croissants
- 24 ounces (1 ½ pounds) deli ham
- 8 slices Munster cheese
Spread
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350ºF (175ºC) to get it ready for baking the croissants.
- Prepare the Spread: In a small bowl, thoroughly mix together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Set aside this flavorful spread for later use.
- Slice the Croissants: Carefully cut each croissant horizontally in half to prepare them for layering.
- Assemble the Sandwiches: Evenly distribute the deli ham over the bottom half of each croissant. Then place a slice of Munster cheese on top of the ham.
- Add the Spread and Top: Spread the prepared mayo and mustard mixture on the inside of the top halves of the croissants. Place the tops onto the assembled bottoms to form sandwiches. Arrange the sandwiches on a baking sheet.
- Bake: Transfer the baking sheet into the preheated oven and bake for 10 to 15 minutes. Bake until the cheese is melted nicely and the croissants are toasted and warmed to your preference.
Notes
- For a crispier croissant, you may brush the tops with melted butter before baking.
- Substitute Munster cheese with Swiss or cheddar for variation.
- You can add sliced tomatoes or pickles inside for extra flavor.
- Serve warm for best taste and texture.
- Use freshly baked croissants if possible for optimal flakiness.
