Other Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup broccoli florets
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers (any color)
- 1/2 cup snow peas (optional)
- 3 green onions, sliced
Instructions
- Marinate the Beef: In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, and 1 teaspoon sesame oil. Add the thinly sliced flank steak and toss to coat evenly. Let it marinate for 15 minutes to enhance the flavor and tenderness.
- Cook the Noodles: Prepare the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain them well and set aside to be added later.
- Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together 1/4 cup soy sauce, 2 tablespoons oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon sesame oil, 1 tablespoon rice vinegar, 1 teaspoon sugar, minced garlic, and minced ginger until well combined. This sauce will bring all the flavors together.
- Stir-Fry the Beef: Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes until it’s browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- Cook the Vegetables: In the same skillet, heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add shredded carrots, broccoli florets, sliced bell peppers, and snow peas if using. Stir-fry the vegetables for 3 to 4 minutes until they are tender-crisp, maintaining a nice crunch.
- Combine Everything: Return the beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Add the cooked noodles and pour the prepared sauce over the top. Toss everything together and stir-fry over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes, making sure the noodles are well coated and heated through.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions. Serve the Beef Lo Mein hot for a delicious, satisfying meal.
Notes

- Marinating the beef is essential for tenderness and flavor, so don’t skip or shorten that step.
- Feel free to customize the vegetables based on your preference or seasonal availability.
- Snow peas are optional but add a nice crunch and color contrast.
- Use low-sodium soy sauce to control the saltiness of the dish if preferred.
