  • 5 lemons, juiced
  • 1/3 cup honey (or other vegan honey substitute)
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 4 cups water (or 2 cups water and 2 cups sparkling water)
  • Fresh blueberries and fresh lemons, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Lemon Juice: Squeeze the juice of 5 fresh lemons and add it to your blender.
  2. Add Ingredients to Blender: Add 1/3 cup of honey (or vegan honey substitute), 1 cup of fresh blueberries, and 1 cup of water (do not add sparkling water to the blender) to the lemon juice in the blender.
  3. Blend the Mixture: Blend all ingredients on high speed until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  4. Strain the Blend: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer or sieve into a pitcher to remove blueberry skins and seeds, ensuring a smooth lemonade.
  5. Add Remaining Water: Add the remaining 3 cups of water (or 2 cups water and 2 cups sparkling water if preferred) to the pitcher and stir well to combine.
  6. Serve and Garnish: Ice is optional. Add ice cubes to glasses and pour the lemonade over. Garnish with fresh blueberries and lemon slices. For a sparkling version, top off with additional sparkling water to taste.
