Description

Cherry Lime Ice Pops are a refreshing frozen treat combining the tartness of lime with the natural sweetness of cherries. Blended to a smooth consistency and frozen into popsicles, these easy-to-make ice pops are perfect for cooling off on a hot day or serving as a healthy dessert option.

Ingredients

Scale

Ice Pops Mixture

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lime zest

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the cherries, lime juice, water, sugar, and lime zest. Blend until you achieve a smooth mixture, ensuring all the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
  2. Pour into Molds: Carefully pour the blended mixture into ice pop molds. Leave a little space at the top of each mold to allow for expansion as the mixture freezes.
  3. Insert Sticks and Freeze: Place the ice pop sticks into the molds. Freeze the popsicles for at least 4 hours or until they are completely solid.
  4. Release Ice Pops: To remove the ice pops from the molds, run warm water over the outside of the molds for a few seconds. This will loosen them and make it easier to pull the popsicles out.

Notes

  • For a natural sweetness, you can reduce or omit the sugar if your cherries are very sweet.
  • If you don’t have lime juice, fresh lemons can be a substitute but will alter the flavor slightly.
  • Use an ice pop mold for best results, but small paper cups with wooden sticks can work as an alternative.
  • Frozen cherries can be used directly without thawing for a thicker texture.
