Ingredients
Scale
Crust
- 24 Oreo cookies, crushed
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted
Cream Cheese Layer
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)
Chocolate Pudding Layer
- 1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 1 3/4 cups cold milk
Topping
- 3/4 cup whipped topping (remaining from 1 1/2 cups)
- 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners to prepare for assembling the dessert layers.
- Make the Crust. In a bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Mix thoroughly and press about 1 tablespoon of this mixture into the bottom of each cupcake liner, creating the crust base.
- Prepare Cream Cheese Mixture. In another bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy to form the second layer.
- Fold Whipped Topping into Cream Cheese. Gently fold 1 cup of whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until well combined, then spoon this creamy layer over the Oreo crusts in the cupcake liners.
- Make Chocolate Pudding. Whisk the instant chocolate pudding mix together with 1 3/4 cups of cold milk until thickened, forming the pudding layer.
- Add Pudding Layer. Spoon the chocolate pudding evenly over the cream cheese layer in each cupcake liner to create the third layer.
- Top with Whipped Topping and Chips. Add a dollop of the remaining whipped topping on each cupcake and sprinkle with mini chocolate chips for decoration and added texture.
- Chill and Serve. Refrigerate the cupcakes for 1-2 hours before serving to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld.
Notes
- Use full-fat cream cheese for the best texture and flavor.
- Ensure the cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps in the mixture.
- Chilling time is essential for the cheesecake and pudding layers to firm up properly.
- You can substitute the Oreo cookies with another chocolate cookie of choice.
- For a dairy-free version, use dairy-free cream cheese and whipped topping alternatives.
