Description

This festive Christmas Snack Mix is a delightful blend of crunchy Rice Chex cereal, mini pretzels, Bugles corn chips, colorful red and green M&Ms, all coated in creamy melted white chocolate and topped with festive sprinkles. Perfect for holiday gatherings or as a sweet and salty treat to enjoy throughout the season.

Ingredients

Scale

Snack Mix

  • 8 cups Rice Chex cereal
  • 2 cups mini pretzels
  • 3 cups Bugles corn chips
  • 2 cups red and green M&M’s

Chocolate Coating

  • 24 ounces white chocolate chips
  • 2 Tablespoons red and green sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside to prepare for the snack mix.
  2. Combine Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, add the Rice Chex cereal, mini pretzels, Bugles corn chips, and red and green M&Ms. Use clean hands to thoroughly mix all the ingredients together for an even distribution.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Stir well, then continue microwaving in 15-second increments, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  4. Coat the Snack Mix: Pour the melted white chocolate over the combined snack mix. Toss gently with a large spoon or use clean hands to ensure every piece is evenly coated with the chocolate.
  5. Spread and Decorate: Spread the coated snack mix onto the prepared baking sheet in an even layer. While the chocolate is still wet, sprinkle additional red and green M&Ms and the 2 tablespoons of red and green sprinkles over the top for a festive touch.
  6. Set and Serve: Allow the snack mix to set completely at room temperature so the chocolate hardens. Once set, break into clusters if desired and serve or store in an airtight container.

Notes

  • For a quicker set time, you can place the baking sheet in the refrigerator for about 15-20 minutes.
  • Use white almond bark as an alternative to white chocolate chips for an easier melting process.
  • Store the snack mix in an airtight container to maintain freshness for up to 2 weeks.
  • Be gentle when tossing to avoid breaking the pretzels and Bugles too much.
