Ingredients
Scale
Crescent Dough
- 1 (8-ounce) tube refrigerated crescent roll dough
Filling
- 4 ounces Brie cheese, rind removed and cut into small cubes
- 1/2 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
Toppings (Optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
Other
- Nonstick cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat and Prepare Pan: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and spray a mini muffin tin with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent dough and pinch all the seams together to create a single sheet. Cut this sheet into 24 equal squares.
- Line Muffin Cups: Press each dough square firmly into the bottom and up the sides of the mini muffin cups, forming small dough cups to hold the filling.
- Add Brie Cheese: Place one small cube of Brie cheese into each dough-lined muffin cup to provide a creamy base.
- Add Cranberry Sauce: Spoon a small amount of whole berry cranberry sauce over the Brie in each cup for a sweet and tangy contrast.
- Add Optional Toppings: Sprinkle chopped pecans and fresh rosemary on top of the cranberry sauce if desired, adding crunch and herbal notes.
- Bake: Bake the filled muffin tin for 12 to 15 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and the Brie cheese has melted beautifully.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the bites to cool in the tin for about 5 minutes. Then gently remove them and serve warm or at room temperature for best flavor.
Notes
- For best results, remove the Brie rind before cutting to ensure a smoother texture.
- Fresh rosemary adds a fragrant herbal flavor but can be omitted if unavailable.
- These bites can be prepared ahead and warmed before serving.
- Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to cut the dough evenly.
- To keep bites crisp, serve them shortly after baking.
