Description

A warm and spicy cocktail combining hot apple cider with the cinnamon kick of Fireball whiskey, garnished with apple slices, cinnamon sugar, cinnamon sticks, and star anise for a cozy, festive drink perfect for chilly evenings.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 5 ounces Hot Apple Cider
  • 2 ounces Fireball Whiskey

Optional Garnishes

  • 1 ounce Cool Apple Cider (for rim garnish)
  • Cinnamon Sugar (for rim garnish)
  • Red Apple Slices (3 thin slices for cocktail pick garnish)
  • Cinnamon Sticks
  • Whole Star Anise

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Glass Rim: If you want to garnish the glass rim, pour about 1 ounce of cool apple cider onto a small plate. Dip the rim of your glass into the cider to moisten it.
  2. Coat the Rim with Cinnamon Sugar: Place cinnamon sugar on a clean plate and carefully dip the wet rim of the glass into it, coating it evenly without letting the sugar fall into the glass.
  3. Add Fireball Whiskey: Pour 2 ounces of Fireball whiskey into the glass, taking care not to disturb the cinnamon sugar rim.
  4. Add Hot Apple Cider: Pour 5 ounces of hot apple cider into the glass. The mixture will naturally blend itself, creating a perfect balance of flavors.
  5. Prepare Apple Slice Garnish: If desired, stack three thin red apple slices on a cocktail pick and fan them out. Place the pick so the apple slices rest on the front side of the glass, slightly off to one side.
  6. Add Cinnamon Stick and Star Anise: On the opposite side of the apple fan, place a cinnamon stick into the glass. Add a couple of whole star anise pods inside the drink to infuse subtle aromatic flavors.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Present your beautifully garnished Fireball Apple Cider immediately while warm for the best taste and aroma experience.

Notes

  • Use fresh, hot apple cider for the best flavor and warmth.
  • For a stronger cinnamon flavor, allow the cinnamon stick to sit in the drink a few minutes before drinking.
  • The star anise is optional but adds a lovely aroma and visual appeal.
  • Adjust Fireball whiskey quantity to taste for a milder or stronger drink.
  • Rimming the glass with cinnamon sugar enhances the sweet and spicy profile.
