Description
Crispy and flavorful Garlic Parmesan Pasta Chips are a delicious snack made by air frying bowtie pasta tossed with olive oil, garlic, and Parmesan cheese, served perfectly with marinara sauce for dipping.
Ingredients
Scale
Pasta and Seasoning
- 16 ounces bowtie pasta (1 standard box)
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
Other
- Olive oil cooking spray
- Marinara sauce (for serving)
Instructions
- Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta al dente according to the package directions. If no al dente instructions are provided, cook for 1-2 minutes less than the recommended time to ensure firmness.
- Drain and cool: Drain the pasta and immediately run it under cold water to stop the cooking process and cool the pasta down.
- Dry and season: Spread the pasta evenly on paper towels and pat dry to remove excess moisture. Transfer to a large bowl, spray with 2 pumps of olive oil spray, add kosher salt, and toss well to coat evenly.
- Air fry the pasta: Transfer the seasoned pasta to the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F for 10-12 minutes or until the pasta chips are crisp and golden, shaking or stirring midway if needed for even cooking.
- Add cheese and garlic: Remove the crispy pasta from the air fryer and immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and garlic powder over the top. Toss well to distribute the flavors evenly.
- Serve: Serve the garlic Parmesan pasta chips warm or at room temperature with marinara sauce on the side for dipping.
Notes
- Be sure to dry the pasta thoroughly before air frying to achieve maximum crispiness.
- You can adjust garlic powder and Parmesan cheese amounts to taste.
- Use a high-quality olive oil spray for best flavor and crisp results.
- Marinara sauce adds a nice contrast but can be replaced with your favorite dipping sauce.
- Store leftover pasta chips in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
