Description

These No Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make treat perfect for any occasion. Featuring a rich peanut butter layer on a graham cracker crust, topped with smooth melted chocolate, these bars require no baking and come together quickly with minimal ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale

Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup smooth peanut butter

Chocolate Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet melting chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Pan: Line an 8×8 or 9×9 inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on the sides. This will help to easily lift the bars out once set.
  2. Make the Peanut Butter Layer: In a bowl, stir together the melted butter, graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, and smooth peanut butter until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly in the prepared pan. Place the pan in the freezer for 5 minutes to firm up the layer.
  3. Melt the Chocolate: While the peanut butter layer chills, melt the chocolate chips with 1 tablespoon of butter using a microwave or double boiler. Stir until smooth and fully combined.
  4. Add Chocolate Topping: Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the chilled peanut butter layer, spreading it evenly to cover the entire surface.
  5. Chill to Set: Place the bars in the refrigerator and chill for about 4 hours or until the chocolate topping is firm and the bars are set. Before slicing, leave the bars on the counter for 10 minutes to soften slightly for easier cutting.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper with an overhang to easily lift the bars from the pan.
  • Ensure the peanut butter is smooth for a creamy texture in the bars.
  • You can substitute semi-sweet chocolate chips with milk or dark chocolate based on preference.
  • For firmer bars, chill longer if needed.
  • Store leftover bars in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
