- 1 1/2 cups lemon juice (about 6 lemons)
- 1 cup simple syrup
- 6 cups water
- 2 cups ice (plus more for serving)
Instructions
- Mix Ingredients: In a large pitcher, add the 2 cups of ice, freshly squeezed lemon juice, simple syrup, and water. Stir thoroughly to combine all the ingredients and chill the lemonade.
- Serve: Pour the lemonade into individual glasses, adding about 1/3 cup of ice per cup to keep the drink cold. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing beverage.
Notes
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup according to your taste preference.
- For a sparkling version, substitute some or all of the water with sparkling water.
- Use freshly squeezed lemon juice for the best flavor; bottled lemon juice may alter the taste.
- Simple syrup can be easily made by dissolving equal parts sugar and water over low heat until clear and cool before using.
- Garnish with lemon slices or fresh mint for an attractive presentation.
