Description

These Turkey & Cheese Folded Wraps are a quick and delicious handheld meal perfect for a light lunch or snack. Featuring tender deli turkey, melted cheese, fresh shredded lettuce, and a tangy mustard spread all wrapped inside warm flour tortillas, they combine convenience with satisfying flavor in just minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Wraps

  • 2 large flour tortillas

Fillings

  • 4 slices deli turkey
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese or 2 slices American cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce

Spread

  • 2 tsp mustard (or a mix of 1 tsp mustard + 1 tsp mayonnaise)

Instructions

  1. Cutting the tortilla: Cut a slit from the center to the edge of each large flour tortilla. This will allow you to fold the wrap easily.
  2. Layering the turkey and cheese: Place 2 slices of deli turkey and the shredded cheddar or stacked American cheese inside each tortilla, spreading them evenly towards the sections created by the slit.
  3. Adding lettuce and spread: Add ½ cup shredded lettuce onto each wrap. Spread the mustard (or mustard and mayo mix) evenly over the fillings inside the tortilla.
  4. Folding the wraps: Fold each tortilla carefully using the slit to create quarter sections folded over one another, encasing all the fillings inside.
  5. Heating the wraps: Heat the folded wraps in a pan over medium heat for about 2 minutes per side, or until the cheese melts and the tortilla is slightly crispy.
  6. Serving: Remove from the pan and serve immediately while warm for the best taste and texture.

Notes

  • You can substitute the flour tortillas with whole wheat or gluten-free tortillas as desired.
  • For a creamier spread, increase the mayo portion or add a slice of avocado.
  • Try adding sliced tomatoes or cucumbers for extra freshness.
  • Use pre-shredded lettuce to save prep time.
  • Cooking time may vary depending on your stove heat and pan type.
