Ingredients
Scale
Turkey Roll Ups
- 4 boneless, skinless turkey breast cutlets
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
Stuffing Mix
- 1 box stuffing mix (approx. 6 oz)
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
- Prepare the stuffing: In a bowl, combine the stuffing mix, chicken broth, and melted butter. Stir well until the stuffing is moistened and evenly mixed. Set aside to allow flavors to meld.
- Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Season the turkey: Season both sides of the turkey cutlets with garlic powder, dried thyme, salt, and pepper to infuse them with aromatic flavors.
- Assemble the roll-ups: Place a spoonful of the prepared stuffing in the center of each turkey cutlet. If using, sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over the stuffing. Carefully roll up each cutlet tightly around the filling, ensuring the seam is sealed to prevent filling from spilling out.
- Place in baking dish: Arrange the turkey roll-ups seam side down in the greased baking dish, which helps keep them intact while baking.
- Bake: Bake the roll-ups for 25-30 minutes, or until the turkey is thoroughly cooked and the stuffing is hot. For a golden-brown finish, optionally broil for 2-3 minutes at the end.
- Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley if desired for a fresh, vibrant touch, and serve with your favorite side dishes for a complete meal.
Notes
- Ensure the turkey roll-ups are sealed tightly to prevent stuffing from leaking during baking.
- Using mozzarella cheese is optional but adds a nice creamy, melty texture inside the roll-ups.
- You can substitute chicken broth with vegetable broth for a different flavor base.
- Leftovers can be refrigerated for up to 3 days and reheated in the oven for best results.
- Serve with vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
