Description

A refreshing and vibrant Vodka Cherry Limeade cocktail featuring layers of vanilla cherry syrup, lime-flavored soda, and vodka, beautifully garnished with fresh lime slices and maraschino cherries. Perfect for summer gatherings or a colorful evening drink.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Cocktail:

  • 2 oz. vodka
  • 3 oz. ICE lemon-lime flavor soda
  • 2 oz. Torani vanilla syrup
  • 1 oz. maraschino cherry juice
  • 2 drops lime food coloring
  • 2 drops red food coloring
  • 1 lime, sliced
  • Maraschino cherries for garnish
  • Ice cubes (about 3 per glass)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cherry Syrup: In a small pitcher, combine 2 oz. of Torani vanilla syrup and 1 oz. maraschino cherry juice. Stir well to mix the sweet and fruity flavors into a smooth syrup.
  2. Assemble Base Layer: Add three ice cubes to each serving glass. Pour the cherry syrup mixture over the ice, creating the first colorful base layer for the cocktail.
  3. Add Lime Slice and Prepare Lime Soda Mix: Place one slice of fresh lime on top of the cherry syrup and ice in each glass. In a separate pitcher, combine 2 drops of lime food coloring with 3 oz. of ICE lemon-lime soda and stir gently to mix the color evenly.
  4. Layer Lemon-Lime Soda: Using a drink layering tool, carefully place the bobber on top of the lime slice in the glass. Slowly pour the lime-colored lemon-lime soda through the layering tool to create a distinct middle layer without mixing the colors.
  5. Prepare Vodka Layer: Mix 2 oz. vodka with 2 drops of red food coloring in a small container. Place the layering tool on the glass again, and slowly pour the vodka mixture over the lime soda layer to form the top vibrant red layer.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Garnish each glass with additional lime slices and a maraschino cherry. Add a straw, and your beautifully layered Vodka Cherry Limeade is ready to enjoy.

Notes

  • For best layering effect, pour liquids slowly and use a layering tool or the back of a spoon.
  • Adjust the amount of food coloring based on your preferred color intensity.
  • This cocktail is best served chilled.
  • Substitute the vodka with a non-alcoholic spirit for a mocktail version.
  • Use fresh lime slices for garnish to enhance aroma and presentation.
