Scale
Ingredients
- 4 cups cubed seedless watermelon
- 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 3–4 lemons)
- 1/4 cup honey or simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices and mint sprigs for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Blend Ingredients: In a blender, combine the cubed watermelon, freshly squeezed lemon juice, honey or simple syrup, and fresh mint leaves. Blend until the mixture is completely smooth and well combined.
- Strain Mixture: Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove pulp and achieve a smoother texture, if desired.
- Add Water and Mix: Stir in the cold water thoroughly to dilute the concentrate. Taste the lemonade and adjust the sweetness by adding more honey or simple syrup if needed.
- Chill: Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the drink to become truly refreshing.
- Serve: Serve over ice cubes and garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs for an appealing presentation.
- Optional Sparkling Twist: For a sparkling variation, substitute the cold water with sparkling water right before serving to retain the fizz.
Notes
- For a sparkling version, replace cold water with sparkling water just before serving.
- Leftover lemonade can be frozen in popsicle molds for a delicious and healthy summer treat.
- Adjust sweetness according to your preference by varying the amount of honey or simple syrup.
- Ensure watermelon is seedless to make blending and straining easier and smoother.
